Monthly trade export habit across major exchanges without the scramble
Waiting until tax season to export trades creates gaps. Build a monthly recordkeeping routine for Binance, OKX, Bybit and Bitget using only official histories.
Multiple exchanges | the reader's region | the reader's funding currency | referral terms and fee claims
Good trading weeks still produce bad paperwork when histories stay inside five apps and one forgotten email. Binance, OKX, Bybit and Bitget each provide downloadable or copyable histories, yet the formats differ and older ranges can be harder to reconstruct later. A monthly habit beats a yearly panic. This guide proposes a short end-of-month ritual: export, label, spot-check, and store offline. It does not give tax advice; it makes sure you still have the raw data your accountant or future self might need.
Pick a calendar reminder and a single folder structure
Choose a recurring monthly date when you are usually at a desk, not only on a phone. Create a private folder with subfolders per exchange and per month. Use clear file names that include the platform and the date range. Consistency matters more than fancy software. If you skip a month, catch up immediately rather than promising yourself you will do two later.
Export from each official history screen
Sign into Binance, OKX, Bybit and Bitget in turn. Export spot trades, funding payments if you use perpetuals, deposits, and withdrawals for the month. If an export tool offers filters, set them deliberately and screenshot the filter settings for your notes. Prefer official CSV or spreadsheet downloads over manual retyping, which introduces errors.
Spot-check totals against on-screen summaries
Open each file and confirm that a few known trades exist with matching times and sizes. Compare counts or totals loosely against what the on-screen history suggests for the same period. If something is missing, re-export before the platform’s visible range rolls forward. Note any transfers between your own accounts so you do not later mistake them for taxable disposals without context.
Store offline and limit who can access the archive
Keep copies on encrypted storage you control. Do not email raw trade files to shared inboxes. If you use cloud sync, lock the folder and review sharing settings. When you close an exchange account someday, those monthly packs become the only convenient history you still own. Review the process once a quarter and adjust if a platform changes its export labels in the help centre.

Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. A referral link only records attribution; it does not guarantee access, pricing, rewards, approval or investment results. Availability can differ by residence, legal entity and product, so no regional access is assumed from language or branding alone.
Scenario checkpoint
- Set a monthly calendar reminder dedicated only to trade exports.
- Export trades, funding, deposits, and withdrawals from each official history.
- Spot-check files against on-screen histories before filing them away.
- Name folders by exchange and month; keep offline encrypted copies.
- Revisit export steps quarterly when platforms change their download tools.
